About us
WE ARE A NEW EDUCATIONAL PROPOSAL
The Educational Institution “Centro del Amanecer” began its activities in 1993, with an educational vision of social service and non-profit. It arose as a response to the need of parents and educators who demanded an inclusive education, based on a methodology based on affectivity. This search was intended to overcome the obsolete behaviorist model in force for a model in which parents, educators, administrators and directors promote the development of students based on a complete respect for their natural psycho-affective processes.
Throughout these 28 years, the institution has included and integrated children, adolescents and young people through a constructivist education, based on the recognition of the diversity of bio-psycho-social characteristics. In this way, we have consolidated educational constructivism in a daily praxis for decades.
History
– A group of parents, dissatisfied with the traditional educational system of a memoristic and repressive education, created the first Board of Directors of the Centro del Amanecer Educational Foundation in order to promote actions towards an education based on respect for the child’s being.
– CDAfami starts its activities as a support to families that require advice and support in their educational actions from home to school.
– We work with the first volunteers who come from foreign countries to support us, especially from Europe.
– The first vacation camps of the Foundation are organized with the participation of national and foreign volunteers.
In these camps, environments are built for the school’s work.
– The first graduating class of high school graduates of the CDA Educational Institution.
– Students from the Educational Center travel to Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia; Germany, France, Poland and Austria to exchange intercultural experiences.
– The Centro del Amanecer CDA special school is regulated by the Ministry of Education as a regular educational institution.
– Inter-institutional cooperation processes are initiated with universities and organizations in the country for the generation of joint training processes.
VISION
By 2030, the Centro del Amanecer Educational Foundation is a national reference in the management of constructivist-environmental education. Through its four programs, this institution supports other organizations, groups, social collectives and community members in the training and generation of educational processes that promote respect for the environment.
MISSION
Promote and develop programs, projects and actions that support constructivist/environmental education. To this end, Fundación Centro del Amanecer promotes initiatives that provide support in the public, private, community and academic spheres.
